Reduced fat
The Lowcals meals are not only delicious and nutritious…
They are designed to be low in fat, so you can enjoy them while maintaining a normal weight.
However, there is a pitfall that many overlook…
Fat has 9 kcal per gram and is the first substance that participates in the creation of obesity
However, the body stores in fat both the fats we eat, as well as the surplus of proteins and carbohydrates if you consume them excessively in the same meal.
For example, a meal might contain salmon, flaxseed, avocado.
These foods are healthy, but all together in the same meal and in large quantities, contain extra calories that will turn into fat.
Because good fats (O3) may be healthy, but they are fattening… because they are FAT too!
You don’t want that, do you?
Remember that the fats that you should reduce mainly are the saturated ones, because these are responsible for vascular diseases and heart diseases.
In the meals we prepare, we reduce the use of saturated fat as much as possible, using:
- Chicken
- Cheese with less than 18% fat
- Yogurts with 2% fat
- Lean meats
